About Us

Seattle Chinese Academy is a non-profit educational organization registered in the State of Washington. It strives to inspire and facilitate the learning of the Chinese language and culture, help prepare our children with bilingual skills for the demands and challenges of the global society, and promote cultural diversity in our community. We currently offer math, Chinese Calligraphy, Adult Chinese Workshop as well as Bilingual Summer Program.

Chinese as a Heritage Language (CHL) is for students who have a Mandarin Chinese speaking environment at home and who can understand basic spoken Chinese; Chinese As Second Language (CSL) is for students who do NOT have a Mandarin Chinese speaking environment at home nor any Mandarin background; Preschooler Program is for kids aged 2 and up on both Saturdays and weekdays; and Adult Chinese Courses. Chinese Calligraphy and Art classes are for kids 5 and up. Math Class is for kids of all ages and levels. Classes are offered on Saturdays, 9:30am-3:30pm, for SCA 2008 Fall Semester.

Bilingual Summer Program starts right after school is out and is for kids aged 5 and up, Monday through Friday.
